Update March 11th

Hello Wonderful Families,

The ILCS Spelling Bee will take place this Thursday, March 14th.  Congratulations to our representative Ames and our alternate Liam!  Great job boys!!

Our new AR goals have been set.  You can check your student’s progress by using the Renaissance link on the left of this blog.

Conferences are optional this trimester.  If a conference is required you have been notified and conferences are scheduled for next week.  All other report cards will be published on the Illuminate Parent Portal this Friday, March 15th.

This coming week will be Spirit Week.  If your student chooses not to participate in the daily theme, then they must follow the Dress for Success Policy.  The themes for each day are as follows:
  • Monday 3/11- Past and Future Day
  • Tuesday 3/12- Teacher Tuesday (dress up as your favorite teacher)
  • Wednesday 3/13- Sports Day
  • Thursday 3/14- Music Day (dress as your favorite musician or anything music related)
  • Friday 3/15- PJ Day

There will be NO SCHOOL Monday, March 18th- Monday April 1st for Spring Break. School will return on Tuesday, April 2nd. Please enjoy this time with your families.

Our LEGOland fieldtrip will be Friday April 5th.
  • As stated before, siblings are not allowed to attend this trip.  If you choose to pull your other ILCS students out of school to attend this trip with us, please know that you are jeopardizing this trip for future 2nd graders in the years to come.
  • If you are attending the trip, as a chaperone or a parent, your child MUST ride with you.  The only people allowed on the bus are teachers and those students that will not have a parent in attendance.
