Update September 3rd

Hello Wonderful Families, Welcome to our classroom blog.   This blog will be updated weekly with announcements, homework, and spelling and vocabulary lists for the week. Remember, there is NO SCHOOL this Monday, September 2nd for Labor Day.   Enjoy your three day weekend, and I’ll see you all on Tuesday! Parent volunteers will start this week.   A parent square went out last week for our first month of sign ups.   If you signed up for a spot please remember that you are responsible for that slot for the entire month of September.   I know life happens so if you ever can’t make it, just let me know. If you didn’t get a slot this month, don’t worry there will be more opportunities soon.  Please make sure that if you are signed up, that you have turned in your Megan's law form to the office. If your kiddos are struggling with their math homework, you can download an app called “Bounce Pages”.   You can use the app to scan the homework page and it will play a brief instruc

Update August 26th

Hello Wonderful Families, Welcome to our classroom blog.  This blog will be updated weekly with announcements, homework, and spelling and vocabulary lists for the week. AR goals were set last week.  Students should be reading at least 20 minutes per night for homework and are given 15-20 minutes of reading and quizzing time in class each day.  You can check your students AR progress by clicking the Renaissance link on the left hand side of this page. Book order forms were sent home at Back to School Night.  I will submit our first class book order on Friday August 30th.  Orders can be submitted online but will not ship until I place the final order.  To help our class earn free books for our classroom library, please enter our class code TJMVT when signing up. Success academy will begin this week.  If your child has been enrolled in success academy, you should have received a Parent Square message from me last week. I will be sending out a Parent Square early this week f

Update August 19th

Hello Wonderful Families, Welcome to our classroom blog.  This blog will be updated weekly with announcements, homework, and spelling and vocabulary lists for the week. Our first full week of school was full of beginning of the year assessments.  With those behind us, I am looking forward to getting into a more normal routine next week. AR goals were set this week.  Students should be reading at least 20 minutes per night for homework and are given 15-20 minutes of reading and quizzing time in class each day.  You can check your students AR progress by clicking the Renaissance link on the left hand side of this page. Next Friday, August 23rd will be out first FLASHLIGHT FRIDAY!!! We will have 20-30 minutes of reading time in the dark. If students can bring in their own flashlights that would be great. Flashlights can be purchased at the dollar tree. I have some flashlights available for students to use, but not enough for everyone. Book order forms were sent home at B
