Update August 19th
Hello Wonderful Families,
Welcome to our classroom blog. This blog will be updated weekly with announcements, homework, and spelling and vocabulary lists for the week.
Our first full week of school was full of beginning of the year assessments. With those behind us, I am looking forward to getting into a more normal routine next week.
AR goals were set this week. Students should be reading at least 20 minutes per night for homework and are given 15-20 minutes of reading and quizzing time in class each day. You can check your students AR progress by clicking the Renaissance link on the left hand side of this page.
Next Friday, August 23rd will be out first FLASHLIGHT FRIDAY!!! We will have 20-30 minutes of reading time in the dark. If students can bring in their own flashlights that would be great. Flashlights can be purchased at the dollar tree. I have some flashlights available for students to use, but not enough for everyone.

Book order forms were sent home at Back to School Night. I will submit our first class book order on Friday August 30th. Orders can be submitted online but will not ship until I place the final order. To help our class earn free books for our classroom library, please enter our class code TJMVT when signing up.
