Hello Wonderful Families, We will be reciting our January Poems this week during our center time.  I choose students at random, so please make sure they are ready in case they are called starting Monday. Tuesday afternoon we will be celebrating the 102nd day of school with some fun dalmatian themed STEM activities.  Students are encouraged to dress in black and white polka dots, but it is not mandatory. I’m looking forward to celebrating being 102 days smarter! The last day to take AR quizzes for this trimester will be February 28th. Remember you can always check in on your child’s AR progress by clicking on the Renaissance link on the left side of this page. Hello Wonderful Families! So many of you have submitted book orders this month, and I want to say THANK YOU!  Every scholastic order you place through our class helps us earn free books for our classroom library.  If you were still wanting to submit your order, but haven’t had time, today will be the last day, so please submit before the end of the night. Our homework folders looked much better this week.  Thank you so much for your help with this matter. If you could continue to help students empty out their homework folders each weekend, that would be greatly appreciated. January Poems went home the first week of January and will be recited the week of January 28th.  If your student has lost their copy please let me know and I can get them another one. Hello Wonderful Families, I hope everyone has had a great first week back! A new book order form was sent home last week.  Several of you have already submitted orders. If you are still wanting to place an order, please do so before Friday so I can submit the class order next weekend. If you could all take a moment this weekend and help your kiddo clean out their homework folder this weekend, it would be greatly appreciated.  It is getting harder and harder for our amazing mommy helpers to find the homework that needs to be turned in that day, because there are so many papers crammed into the pockets.  Thank you! Hello Wonderful Families, I hope everyone has enjoyed their 2 weeks off!  I’m looking forward to seeing all of your kiddos smiling faces on Tuesday morning! I want to take a second to say THANK YOU again for the generous gifts I received before Christmas Break.  Every gift, card, note, and goodie was appreciated more than you know! In case you haven’t already heard, our class won the trophy for earning the most AR points in 2nd grade for the second month in a row!  The points are recalculated every month, so please make sure your kiddos are reading every night as part of their homework. If your child finished any books over our holiday break, have them write down the titles so they can quiz on them when we return on Tuesday.
