Update April 29th

Hello Wonderful Families, I am so excited to announce, that our class has earned the AR trophy for the months of March and April!  During these 2 months, our class earned over 305 AR points. I am so PROUD of all of my little readers! Keep reading, the last day to earn AR points for this trimester is May 31st. For 2 nd grade, you need to complete 6-8 hours of community service.  Think about great ways to serve the community in which you live or go to school.  Community service is a great way to make a positive difference. Community Service Projects will be due THIS FRIDAY May 3rd.  A handout outlining what is required went home at the beginning of April. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to message me. We will be working on writing our habitat Informational reports in class.  Each student will be responsible to recreating their animal habitat by creating a diorama.  Dioramas will be due Friday, May 17th. Hello Wonderful Families, For 2 nd grade, you need to complete 6-8 hours of community service.  Think about great ways to serve the community in which you live or go to school.  Community service is a great way to make a positive difference. Community Service Projects will be due Friday, May 3rd.  A handout outlining what is required went home at the beginning of April. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to message me. Our animal habitat research project will be starting this next week!  Handouts regarding the project and what is expected will be going home in Monday’s Homework folders.  Research will be done at home next week for homework. We will be writing their informational reports during class time in the coming weeks.  Dioramas will be due on Friday, May 17th. Hello Wonderful Families, Today concludes our read-a-thon for Ghana.  Please help students add up their time on their star chart and return it to school on Monday.  We have kept a separate log here at school. These went home with students Friday, so please combine them and total up all hours. Update April 8th

Hello Wonderful Families, Thank you all so much for attending our LegoLand fieldtrip.  I hope you and your kiddo had a great time! A book order form went home over Spring Break.  I will be submitting the book order on Monday, April 8th so if you were thinking about ordering books, please do so this weekend. This week is our Read-a-thon!  Informational packets and pledge sheets went home last week.  A special Read-a-thon reading log will go home in homework folders this Monday, April 8th. Students will be given extra time in class to read each day this week and are encouraged to read extra at home each night as well.  Money raised will go to our sister school in Ghana.
