Update January 7th

Hello Wonderful Families, Thank you all so much for all of your thoughtful and generous Christmas Gifts.  I am so thankful that I get to spend my days with your sweet kiddos smiling faces!  I hope you all enjoy your 2 weeks off! Reminder there is NO SCHOOL for the next 2 weeks. Students return to school on Tuesday, January 7th. Students should be at about 50% of their AR goal. Our last day to take quizzes for this trimester is Friday, February 21st. Please make sure students are reading, reading, READING over break so they quiz when they get back! You can check student's AR progress by clicking on the link on the left side of this blog. January Poems will come home Tuesday, January 7th. Poems will be recited the week of January 27th. Update December 16th

Hello Wonderful Families, Thank you all so much for returning your LEGOLAND permission slips so quickly!  If you are purchasing a discount ticket and haven’t sent in your $27, please send it in on Monday, so all cash and checks can be deposited before Christmas Break.  Chaperone names will be drawn at random on Monday. If you are selected as a chaperone, your $27 will be returned to you.   This week we will be doing a 5 day count-down to Winter Break.  Each day the kiddos will receive a small gift from me to celebrate.  Some of the items are food related. If your kiddo can not eat peppermints, whoppers, or animal crackers please let me know ASAP so I can make another arrangement. Our “Secret Friend” gift exchange will take place this Friday, December 20th.  Student’s chose the name of their secret friend last week. Student’s need to bring a wrapped $10 gift to class by Thursday December 19th.  Please have students write who the gift it “to” but leave the “from” blank or

Update December 9th

Hello Wonderful Families, This Monday, December 9th will be our Grandparent’s Day celebration.  Grandparents (and honorary grandparents) are being asked to meet in the Cub’s Den (Church Sanctuary) at 8:15am.  1st grade will perform first, then we will perform immediately following. When all performances are done Grandparents can come to our classroom to complete a craft. Our Winter Performance is on December 9th at 5:00pm at Active Church. We will be singing "Must Be Santa" and "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth." Song lyrics were sent home November 22nd. We are asking that students be dropped off in the designated room at Active Church at 4:30pm. Immediately following our performance we ask that you PROMPTLY pick up your child in the quad area outside of the main sanctuary.  There will be a 15min break following our performance to allow you to come get your child and return to the sanctuary if you have older children preforming.
