Weekly Update, November 12th

Hello Wonderful Families, I hope everyone is enjoying their extended weekend!  Just a few updates for the week:

I am looking forward to seeing most of you tomorrow at conferences.  Please remember that each conference slot is only 20 minutes, with no time in between so please arrive on time.

The Disguise Your Turkey that came home 2 weeks ago is due this Wednesday, November 14th.  If you are still looking for ideas, a quick pinterest search can be very helpful.  I look forward to seeing your kiddos creativity!

Our Thanksgiving Feast will be this Thursday, November 15th at 12pm.  Thank you so much to those of you that have signed up to donate food and/or your time.  These events would not be possible without you!

This Friday, 2nd grade will be showing the movie Freebirds.  The movie is rated PG.  If you don't want your child participating in the movie, alternative arrangements can be made, just let me know.

We have started our Magic Tree House book study in class.  Each student was able to select a Magic Tree House book that they will be reading in class.  Books that have not been finished before Thanksgiving break will be sent home over the break to be finished. We will be completing some fun book study projects.  You will be invited to class to see all of our hard work and enjoy some cookies and hot cocoa on Friday, November 30th.
