Weekly Update October 29th
Hello Wonderful Families, I
hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! Just a few updates for the
week:
A new
Poem for the month of November will be coming home on Monday. Students will be sharing their poems the week
of November 26th.
AR Progress: The
last day for students to take AR quizzes this trimester is Friday, November
2nd. If your student has not made their goal yet, please continue to
make sure that they are reading at least 20 minutes every single night.
Our class was recognized at
last week’s ROAR Rally for earning more AR points for the month of October than
any other 2nd grade class! We
received a trophy that is on display in our classroom for the next month! Kiddos will also be rewarded with some extra
recess time this coming week!
This Wednesday is Halloween,
but please remember that costumes are not allowed at school. We will be having pajama day instead. Any student not wearing pajamas is still
expected to follow our Dress for Success dress code policy.
We will be spending our day Wednesday
doing some fun Halloween themed math and writing centers.
The end of the trimester is
here so we will be doing lots of assessments this week. Because of this, there will be no homework
this week. Let your kiddos rest their
brains and enjoy their time at home!
A new sign up for November
volunteers will go out on Parent Square on Monday afternoon. Because there is no homework this week, I
will not need my homework checkers to come in this week.
