Update November 4th

Hello Wonderful Families,

I am so proud of how well our class did reciting their October Poems!  November Poems will be coming home on Monday, so be on the lookout for those.  November Poems will be recited the week of November 19th.

Our Turkey in Disguise Project will also be coming home and is due Tuesday, November 19th.

October Assessment Logs came home today in your kiddos homework folder.  Please initial these and return them Monday.

If students have not finished reading their Magic Treehouse book, they need to do so as soon as possible.    We will then be completing several activities in class related to our books, starting this Monday, November 4th.  Families are invited to come to class and see all of our hard work and enjoy some refreshments on Friday, November 15th at 12:45pm.

We have booked our LEGOland field trip for Friday, February 7, 2020!!!  This is such a fun trip, and the kiddos have been asking about it since school started.  We are letting you know about the trip early, because it follows the holidays so closely.  We are asking for a $25 donation to our Dollar a Day fund to cover student tickets and bus costs.  Adult companion tickets will be an additional cost. More information about the exact amount will be available closer to the trip.
Our new AR goals have been set and students can begin taking AR tests towards their new goal starting this Monday.

I know a lot of the math strategies that we are currently learning are different than the traditional method of addition that you may remember and can be confusing. So if  your kiddo is ever having a hard time, I recommend downloading the “Bounce Pages” app on your phone. You can scan the Homework page and it will play a short video walking them through the steps.
